African Fashion Is Impacting Fashion Worldwide
For the first time, Africa is hailing in its artistry across the world like never before. What was once looked down at due to deprivation and a low quality of life, is now spearheading in the world of music and fashion. The development of Aztec prints - known to the Westernized society - was originally African native prints which had been slightly manipulated to become more vibrant with neon colors. Not only has print impacted fashion greatly, but the style of clothing. An example is the strapless look which is a common look seen amongst every African female. The African cloth is simply wrapped across the chest as a home outfit. African fashion has crossed the platforms of westernized styles encouraging international artists and celebrities to sport our fabric. Such include, Solange, Beyonce, Rhianna and several others. These high profile celebrities open a gateway for African clothing to be worn at any place without any restrictions.
